Have you ever heard of this particular archery target? Well, if you haven’t, then you will know shortly. I feel that out of the whole target industry, there are about five targets that are among the most trusted. The block is definitely one of them, if not the flagship that precedes them all. I have had the opportunity to practice with one of these items and I was thoroughly pleased with it. So, in this article I will explain a little bit of knowledge about this particular target and why not only me, but thousands of others think that it is the best archery target also. If you have the outdoor channel, then it is really hard to have not heard or seen this particular item on television. Anyways, let's get to covering the qualities that have made the block one of the most reliable and highest rated products out there.

What Makes The Block Archery Target So Great?

Many of you will more than likely look at the price of this target and then quickly leave this page to look at cheaper targets. However, you do get what you pay for sometimes. Remember that as it is true with many other products out there. Whenever I try to think about why I get the more expensive, brand name products, I always take into consideration the overall cost of the arrows that I am shooting. Arrows these days are really expensive, especially if you get the high dollar carbon ones. I am not sure, but I think that they majority of folks these days shoot carbon arrows rather than aluminum. If you shoot aluminum arrows, I am not bashing you, they work just fine. They actually worked very well for me in the past. However, these days I go with the carbon. Anyways, the block is great because it is a layered target that stops arrows with friction. It was the first of its kind in this particular niche. So, back to what I was talking about before. I want to shoot a target that can actually stop the expensive arrows coming from my expensive bowtech compound that delivers arrows at blistering speeds. In other words, does it make sense to shoot a twelve dollar arrow, tipped with a ten dollar practice broadhead, at a cheap twenty dollar target? Not to me it doesn’t. However, I am sure that I will get comments talking about a cheap target that they have that works great. People, I am not bashing anyone! If you found one that works for you, then I am happy for you. I, on the other hand, use the best of the best. To my it’s kind of like putting a forty dollar scope on a thousand dollar gun, just not something that I do. Another reason why I like the block is because I am very confident in their abilities to last and withstand the test of time. If you check the latest commercial, you will see that the latest product took somewhere around twenty thousand arrows and still works fine. That is top quality folks, definitely worth a couple extra bucks to me. Also, you can factor in four sides on some of the newer block archery targets as well.

Cheers.
